Greenway Toner

Why recycling toner is important

Why recycling toner is important

We all know recycling is important for a sustainable planet, yet there are crucial areas where we fail to do so. Toner cartridges are one of those crucial areas. Below, I'll show you why and how we can change this together.

-Every year, over 375 million toner cartridges are thrown away in the United States. Think about that for a second. This means, on average, 11 cartridges are disposed of every second.

-Only around 30% of toner cartridges are recycled. This would mean that 788 million pounds of toner waste ends up in US landfills each year.

-The components of toner cartridges can take up to 1,000 years to decompose. One simple way to completely wipe away this waste footprint is through remanufacturing.

-For every 1 pound used in remanufacturing toner cartridges, 5-9 pounds of natural resources are conserved. If all discarded toner cartridges were remanufactured, we would save 1.8 billion pounds of natural resources a year.

There is no reason everyone should not be using remanufactured toner. When done properly, remanufactured toner is as good, if not better, than OEM quality toner. Some organizations don't use it because until now, there was no dependable supplier to get it from. Greenway Toner was setup to provide reliable, dependable products to all, regardless of the volume of their usage. With the sustainable nature of remanufactured toner, to the cost savings from using it, now is the time to make the switch. We'd love to show you the way.
